Installation INFORMATION

During November 2018, I took over one of the announcement boards at RIT’s College of Art and Design. “School’s Board” is an installation on an actual school’s case. I used typical  school decorations, text, modified warning signs, one of my still life photographs and printed outlines of weapons over my son’s drawings. My goal is to make the viewer think about what information and procedures children are exposed to, specifically the active shooter drills. I also want viewers to reflect about what concrete actions are available for teachers and students  during a shooting situation, and to challenge the effectiveness of these plans. Run Hide Fight is widely known as the protocol to follow in case of an active shutter attack.
